No I did not. I came to US at 15 and joined 11th grade. Didn't know much about scholarships and didn't even bother even though my grades were good. Now in hindsight that may seem like a bad decision but most people don't get scholarships anyways and i learned the value of hard earned money! I worked part-time and paid for my own college. My debts were paid in 1 year after graduation and its all good now! :)

Yes I did. I had a music scholarship as well as an academic scholarship and one through my church's denominiation.

I also became good friends with the person who worked in the financial aid department (work study gig) and she was able to help me find even better scholarship for my junior and senior years.
