Can anyone help regarding the side effects of the MMR vaccination given at 12 month wellness visit?

My son developed a fever immediately after the vaccination. Of course he had other vaccinations as well (the standard). He ran a fever for 2/3 days. However, his behavior has changed. He won't play by himself at all. If I try to play with him he want me to hold him. He buries his face in my legs or the sofa. He'll grab my hands and hold them sometimes rubbing his face in them.

He has seemed weaker and very fussy (clingy too!!). He won't let me leave his sight. Also, he had some small bruises on his thighs (maybe from the injections)? Now, it's exactly one week later and he's running a super high fever 102 with tylenol. I plan on sleeping on his floor and monitoring him every hour through the night.

Is this a normal reaction to the MMR/12 month checkup. He is allergic to eggs and I've found the MMR is made from egg protiens.

TIA!

Call the Dr who gave him the vaccinations. It does not matter what time it is. If you do not get an immediate response, call the nurse hotline at the nearest hospital. The temp is the important thing, and the fact he has had one most of the week. Did the Dr know he was allergic to eggs? Tell him now.

Here is a site to check out www.909shot.com or join a vaccination group on Yahoo groups they are very helpful.
I stopped after my son had a bad reaction at 3 months. I would never be able to live with myself if he died or became permanently disabled from the vaccines.

Do more research on vaccines, it is linked to such things as autism, brain damage, infant death syndrome, and many other things, I would suggest going to see the doctor and keeping a very close eye on your child.

I'd take to the hospital if I were you.
