Two answers come to mind for me in treating tear stains on a white or light colored dog. There is a product called "Angel Eyes Tear Stain Remover" by Pro Eye, it's great for removing stains, and their is a product called "Angel Glow" which is a powder that you can put on your dog's food once a day. http://www.angelsglow.com
Also rule out per Vet that the dog doesn't have an eyelid problem causing the tearing or allergies.
The angel glow works over time and the Angel Eyes works on the immediate stain.

There are special products made specifically for tear stains at Pet Shops and in pet catalogs.

Some people use products from the beauticians but I don't recommend those. Although , they do work there is a change they could be splashed in the eyes and damage your doggie's eyes.

I work at a groom shop and we see this alot. The dyes in the foods and treats that your puppy eats is what causes the stains. The only way to completly get rid of them is to change her diet to an all natural diet. Wiping the eyes everyday helps also.

1...once they're there you can't get rid of them.

2 the reason your dog has tear stains is because you probably arent' feeding it the right type of food.
research the poodle and find out what is the best type of food to feed it.
i dont know much about poodles but i do know one thing
its really bad to feed your dog beef or dairy or corn so if the food you're feeding it has that in it...chuck it and switch to something else without it.

first its important to understand why your dog has tear staining. It could be a dietary thing or it also could be a bacterial or yeast infection. Just something to be aware of.
There are actually tear stain removal pads available from pet shops. These are quite safe to use.
