You're not in trouble for letting it expire. Hundreds of SC driver licenses expire every day. Go get it renewed. And if you get stopped enroute, don't be surprised if the officer seems skeptical that you just happen to be on the way to DMV. We hear that a lot. Good luck!

You are under no legal obligation to renew your license. However, if you get stopped by the police they may cite you for driving without a valid license.

The bad thing about letting you license expire is you will have to take the written test and possibly the driving tests again. Better study :)

No, you will not be in trouble. The worst that may happen to you is paying for a late fee. What you should do right now at this moment is to refrain from driving to avoid being stop by the police. Other than that I would not worry so much about it. But remember to have it done as soon as possible. Good luck!

I don't think you will be in any trouble. You may have to retake the test. Good luck, I'm in SC too. When I got my license last July, it was for ten years. I hope they remind me, cause I'll never remember.♥

Not unless you get caught driving. However, if you're enroute to get your license renewed it is highly unlikely that an officer would ticket you.

I wouldn't think you would be in trouble, as long as you get in there pronto to get it renewed.
