Terrie---------------you hit the nail right on the head!

Ok-----if we accept Jesus as Lord and die-----if we are right we have eternal life with Him in the kingdom of God-------if we are wrong we just die like everyone else------not such a big deal.
=========on the other hand==========
If we turn our hearts away and refuse to accept Gods word and die-----and atheists are right then we just die---------but now if the atheists are wrong then it is quite a big deal when you spend eternity in torment in the lake of fire.
========VERY bid deal!

Try to find humor in daily life------

LAUGHTER is a great medicine.

Work like you don't need the money.

Love like you've never been hurt.

Dance like nobody's watching.

Sing like nobody's listening.

Live like it's Heaven on Earth.

Not an atheist (Deist), and I while I would like to say choose death, I would probably just lie and play lip service if I was "forced" to convert. I suppose quite a few people would do this, too.

I will not wear the chains of anyones religion, give me death. Oh, by the way I assume your christian, would you desert your God if the only other option was death?

Sure. I don't care enough about religion, or my lack thereof, to give up my life. If the absolute choice is death or attending church where I'm forced to speak in tongue like a loon, I'd choose the latter. I could deal with it to live, while making fun of it at every opportunity, of course.
Following funny religious practices won't change who I am or what I believe.

Probably. Wasn't that what the Dark Ages were about? I could easily go to church and say whatever I needed then go home and blaspheme my little tail off; I guess Christians should be glad everyone can be honest about their belief's. How would they know who to 'save' if everyone was saying/doing the same thing?

My life is precious to me. I believe it's the only one I have. I wouldn't want to die for the sake of saying I don't believe in a god. I will lie if I have to to save my life, yes. If someone was going to kill you because you don't believe in unicorns, wouldn't you lie and say you believe in it to save your life? It's like that. It's not worth giving my life for if some bully is holding a gun to my head or some dictatorship government has made the penalty for atheism death. It wouldn't make me ACTUALLY believe, no. But it wouldn't benefit me to sacrifice my life just to continue to say I don't believe in a deity.

Sure, it's one of the reasons you didn't see many conversions to Christianity during the Taliban rule of Afghanistan.

I'd probably go through the motions. Religion isn't worth dying for, but confounding the regime that imposes it might be.

You mean there is a religious system that guarantee you will not die on earth? Tell me .... :) ......

A fictitious place call heaven or hell does not count, unless you had personally been there.

You mean, would I lie to avoid death? Yeah, surely. Would death threats make me actually believe? No, certainly not.
