someone please answer me this-

why did we say NINETEEN-NINTY FIVE for the year 1995 but Two Thousand Seven for 2007.
like we broke up the 19 and 95
and now its just the 2000 annd 7


it should be the year of Twenty Seven like when its 2010 will we say two thousand ten but it should be twenty ten?

Because twenty seven is 27, you numbskull

because there is no numerical digit between 2000 and 7, so if u say twenty seven it will be heard as 27. in 1995, however, all the digits have numerical values, so there are no zeroes in between the numbers. you only divide it like nineteen ninety five if all digits have a real number in them. hope this helps

Both works in mho: i,e, two thousand ten or twenty ten. Long as people understand the context means 2010.

then, what do you want to call 1995, one thousand, nine hundred, and ninety-five?? don't you think it is easier if you just call it nineteen, ninety-five??

as for 2007, why they pronounce it as two thousand seven is bcuz human are wierd animals, thats why!

hmmm.guess you could say twenty-oh-seven if you wanted to. If this is your biggest quandry,consider yourself lucky.
