I have been raised in a Jehovah Wittness household and I'm starting to question there teachings... what once made sence to me through the Watch Tower theology is now hard to belive... examples,,,, diety of christ,, salvation threw works,,, many false predictions,,1874,,1914,,1925,1975 etc....., christ dying on a torture stake instead of a cross,,,, the fact that they changed jesus being worshiped to "obesiance".. and their unrealistic demands and rules... I have become really depressed..,, and I dONT find intrest in any earthly things because OF THE FACT THAT THEY SAY THE END IS SO NEAR.... I once wanted to grow some facial hair and was confronted about it... and told not to have any facial hair i.e goatee..side burns or beard just a typical jw mustache...

i think I now sure that they are a cult and dont know what to do... jesus is not micheal the arc angel and sould be worshiped ..but i just dont know how ,, I have been taught otherwise not to worship jesus....

were do i go

the witnesses are a lying , heretical cult who are in fact modern-day ARIANS. they deny the divinity of Our Lord Jesus christ. Escape from them like you run from SATAN himself. the witnesses deny who Christ really is, the son of God Himself. They lie & say Jesus is Michael the archangel .

This is a cult which God will punish - they lead good christians into heresy. they are of Satan, not of God.

Please investigate the Eastern Orthodox church and speak to an orthodox priest. You will be saved.

You've been isolated from what normal young people do? You mean fornication, immorality etc. If that's what you want to do and you call normal than Jehovah God is not keeping you away from it. We have two choices: to serve the one true God with a pure heart or to serve Satan (Deuteronomy 11:26-28). I chose to serve Jehovah. I'm young too. I'm 19 and I never felt like I missed something. I'm happy that I found the truth and I am determined to never leave God's side no matter what. Without Him my life would have no sense.

"Rejoice, young man, in your youth, and let your heart do you good in the days of your young manhood, and walk in the ways of your heart and in the things seen by your eyes. But know that on account of all these the [true] God will bring you into judgment. So remove vexation from your heart, and ward off calamity from your flesh; for youth and the prime of life are vanity. " -- Ecclesiastes 11:9,10.

"The heart is more treacherous than anything else and is desperate. Who can know it?" -- Jeremiah 17:9.

"More than all else that is to be guarded, safeguard your heart, for out of it are the sources of life." -- Proverbs 4:23.

You said that you've been raised as JW. Than you should know that we are not a cult. Don't be another person mislead by Satan. If you give up to your faith than it means that you don't have a sincere heart. Think about it. Pray to Jehovah.

Hopefully this link will work. This is to a profile for
preachershoe. He is a former Jehovah's Witness, and says the same sort of stuff about them.
The reason I am referring you to him, is because your post reads as though it is not necessarly religion as a thing, but maybe the Jehovah's specifically. And that you seem to want Christianity, but a more traditional view than what the Jehovah's have. If you would like pastoral counseling from a good man who's been there, I think he might be a good person to talk to. He's the pastor of the Bikercell church.
Yep, black leather, choppers, and all.
There is a link to his website, and also a link to his email on his profile. If you don't live near the church, that is the beauty of email, to talk to someone far away. I am sending you to his profile first, because I know he has answered at least one question relating to the Jehovah's out there, as a former member...Unfortunately, I can't find the question I was looking for in his profile, maybe it got deleted for some reason, but I remember him posting on one of these questions about how he regards the Jehovah's as a cult. I am not pressing pastoral counseling on you, I just think he would be a good person for you to talk to, because they have you really confused about religion in general, and because he used to be one...
Oh, yeah, I am not a member of his church, not even a Christian. I just have a good feeling you should look into it.

I'm not a JW, so I'd say Christ is God. No offense, but you can't logically conclude Christ and Michael are the same by looking through Scripture.

I'd say to worship Christ, after all, He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Also, Jesus did claim Divinity, just you'll see a lot of people say He didn't.

so I'd say develop a relationship with Christ; or Lord, our Savior, our God. and I can't tell you what to do, but I can't honestly tell you I think gotees are sinful....

Ask, Seek, Knock. God rewards those who diligently seek Him.

(and one more thing: the Holy Spirit is a person, not just a force. if you read the Bible, this should be clear).....

You are on the right track.. Pray and ask God for guidance.

There surely are full gospel,interdenominational,charismatic,
fellowships,or even Wed. night house meetings that you can
visit. Again,ask God for guidance.

Of all the false doctrines that have been propogated by the Watchtower Bible and Tract society, the most important one has to do with the person, nature and works of Jesus Christ.
Who really is Jesus of Nazareth? If you are wrong about this one question, your eternal destiny is at stake.

In the beginning was the word and word was with God and the word was God.(not a God).

Please check out this website,as there is very good information that will address all of the questions that you have presented and much more.

There is an excellent book called the Kingdom of the cults by the late walter Matin. He traces the origins of many new relgions and compares them with what Orthdox christainity actually teaches. he has quite an infomative section on Jehovas Witnesses. Including a court case that the founder of the Jehovah Witness was in where it was revealed that althogh he claimed to be able to read the early languages used in the bible he was unable in court to idenify the alphabet in these languages. This book also compares the teaching of the bible with the beliefs presented by the Jehova Witnesses. This case happened in Ontario Canada. I would also suggest you should always feel free to ask questions. Truth isn't injured by honest enquiry. God has nothing to hide and I don't believe he would rebuke someone for honestly questioning.

You are not the first one. Many have presented good biblical evidence that their doctrines are skewed and that they are a cult. WWW.bible.ca and a search will present why they are considered a cult. I'm praying that you see the light. You might consider research at this time and determine for yourself. Caution, don't let the JW congregation know what you are doing until you decide if you are going to make the split or not. There are testimonies of some scary tactics used to keep you in the RELIGION. Good luck. lol

Boil everything down to the most common sense answer.
Stay close to GOD and pray for understanding and clarity.
It takes time but it is simple.
Read the new testament without any bias or foreknowledge. Just pretend you have never read it before and you will be shocked at what Jesus is really all about. It is a journey worth taking. The truth is a wonderful thing to know.
GOD bless you bro!

As an ex-mormon (That church is a CULT!!!) you must get out, my family said I would be going to hell, but I was suicidal in that church and wanted to die, that church made me OCD, and paranoid and I was abused by my parents, ect. I just couldn't out my kids thru the same indcotrination and mind control and brainwashing I had been thru. I really didn't wantmy daughter to be a barefoot and pregnant mormon women for the rest of her life. So no matter what your family says, you have to think about your future. You must find a way to get out, you can find more info on your cultic religion at www.saintsalive.com

For now, the best thing I can adise you to do if you are looking for a way out is simply to find an online community that you feel safe with.
Many people view JW's as a cult. From my class on cults & the occult in college, a cult was anything that taught anything contrary to Scripture.
It's good that you're questioning. Your eyes are opening. Follow your heart.
And, use wisdom with whom you do associate yourself online. You have legitimate questions that deserve satisfying answers. I wish you the best.
