i'm not too picky, just something that takes good pictures, doesnt over expose, and doesnt take forever to take pictures.
any ideas ?

Kodak Easyshare cameras are great. With rebates you can get a 7.1 megapixel camera for around $139. It woulod be nice to have the top of the line Canon at $8000 but whatta gonna do with all that!

If you're talkin' just under $200, consider the Canon PowerShot A540 + memory card. I personally own a plenty of zoom camera the Sony CyberShot DSC-H2, and love it. About $300-
