If the dog food brand your giving you're dog has any corn or wheat in it, that might very well be causing the problem. Corn is very tough on a dogs digestive system!

Gas as in expelling smelly air, or gas as in a bloated tummy?
If it's a bloated tummy and the dog seems uncomfortable, get it to the vet NOW - go to the emergency clinic if your vet is closed. It could be gastric torsion, which is a life-threatening emergency. http://www.canismajor.com/dog/bloat.html
If it's just the smelly air kind, your dog probably has an upset stomach. If you changed food brands recently, or fed anything different from normal, or your dog could have eaten something that could have upset its stomach, any of those things can cause gas. Try feeding your dog a meal of plain boiled chicken meat (no bones, of course) and rice tonight to settle its stomach, and don't let your dog have any fatty treats or unusual foods. If the gas is still bothersome tomorrow, take your pup to the vet to make sure it's OK.
Check the ingredients on your dog's food - if it contains soy, sometimes that can give dogs gas. My dog gets gassy if she gets any treats with soy in them. Look for a food with a named meat (chicken, lamb, turkey, duck, etc., not 'meat') or a named meat meal (chicken meal, etc.) as the first ingredient and protein source, rather than a plant protein such as corn or soy.
If you have cats, try to keep cat food out of reach of the dog, too - my dog gets gassy if she gets into the cat food.

It could be that your dog has special dietary needs. That's not all that unusual. If your feeding him canned food try feeding some vet approved dry food instead. If you have the time you could also cook meals for the dog. Some dogs digestive systems just don't seem to cope too well with tinned food.

Well ahve you changed her food because of the recall????
If you have than her stomach is very upset. If not than have you been feeding her table scraps? Or giver her a new type of bones or treats?
Something she has eaten is really upsetting her stomach thats why she has gas. You have to be the dective here and slowly stop feeding her one treat thing at a time. If you have changed her food then it is just her stomach getting used to the new food, so it will take time for her to adjust.

What kind of food are you feeding him? things like corn or grain based dog foods, or certain dairy or greasy foods can give dogs gas. You may try changing his diet.
Pick a dog food with chicken, beef, lamb etc. meal listed as the first ingredient, and also make sure that it has little grain added.

You might want try changing his food. A lot of dogs can have sensitive stomachs and food can give them gas. Or if you have just changed his food from one brand to another with out mixing it with the old food, that will cause stomach upset as well

More then likely it has to do with what you are feeding him/her. We have a Lab that use to have gas so bad he could clear a room. We put him on a better food and his gas went away. If you have him on a good food then it could be due to the treats that you feed him. Sometimes they are not the highest of quality.

It could be the type of food you are feeding your dog. Try adjusting it, possibly to a good quality sensitive stomach variety. There are also pills available to help with this issue at most pet stores.
