I also already took a chance. A 21 year chance. Besides which, this is the weakest Christian argument I've heard. I've heard it countless times before this, by the way. If you believe in Christianity because you're afraid, you don't truly believe. And I'd rather spend eternity in hell than believe something that makes no sense to me "just in case" Your point is grounded in nonsense, not logic. I don't follow anyone's lead. Hence my beliefs. You follow the beliefs of a man who died how many years ago? And you follow the beliefs of a pastor. And you follow the beliefs of other Christians. So... you're following what people says is God's lead. Not necessarily God's lead. Think about that...
*ADDED* Didn't know about that game... pretty good one.

Did you notice that the way you wrote that, you are following Paganism ... multiple "Gods", rather than your "God's" word? Amazing what you can do when you can't write properly in English.
As far as Pascal's Wager (which is the antique argument that you are posing is called), Atheists and non-Christians find it as lame now as they did so long ago.
Free thinking aside, there are valuable reasons for not following the God of the Bible. One is peace. The Bible is inherently intolerant of anyone who doesn't believe in it, and it has caused the death and torture of countless peoples. It has harmed more people than ANY religion on Earth. That, for me, is reason #1.
The second reason I don't follow Christianity is that it doesn't make sense to me to follow a God who needs to use fear as a motivational technique. I don't believe in a God that after an eternity, got bored and created a bunch of people, with the foreknowledge that he would torture most of them in some hell forever. That's simply pathological behavior. Would you start breeding animals, say dogs for example, and decide that you'll keep all those who lick your hand and not your face, and torture the rest of them forever? You'd wind up in jail. It's sick, pathological behavior.
On top of that is the Bible itself. (And yes, I've read it and used to teach it.) It describes the pathological god, and has pathological and criminal ways of dealing with the world. Killig unruly children, valuing women at 1/2 of men, and such. Add to that the capricious way in which it is translated today and it becomes a document that makes no real sense at all.
Got any more good questions?

Ah Pascal's wager. The worst argument for anything ever.
What if you've picked the wrong God Annie? With so many to choose from (thousands, in fact), the odds that you've somehow managed to pick the right god are pretty much astronomical. And from what I know about gods, they don't much care for people worshiping anything other than them.
Edit: Of course, the question begs to be asked, why exactly would you worship a god who casts anyone who doesn't believe in them into the fiery pits of hell to be devoured by the flames forever? Seems a bit much, don't you think? If it were me, I'd probably just give them a slap on the wrist and a good stern talking to.
If that's the sort of god you want to push on me, no thanks, I'll take my chances with the devil.

The bible says: And I will give you Pastors according to my own heart to feed you with knowledge and understanding. (Jeremiah 3:15.) Another scripture says: And he gave some apostles, and some prophets; and some evangelists; and some pastors and teachers: For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ (Ephesians 4:11-12.) Christians are not brainwashed in a negative way but in a positive way. When we get saved we become new creatures so we do go through a very necesssary brainwashing from filthy evil minds that we had in sin. If we are truly God's people we will obey his voice and follow our pastor's as they follow Christ. That is what God has established (sheep with a shepherd.) But if they stop following Christ the bible way, run for your life. If we could feed ourselves spiritually, God would not have these scriptures in the bible for us to read. Remember, after we read we must obey. Our opinion means nothing, follow God's word in everything, you won't go wrong.

Pascal's Wager re-worded yet again.
so then change every instance of Christ/God,Christianity.
to Cerunuuos/ Paganism
and ask yourself the same question. you do not even know what my gods offer in the afterlife.
but i will tell you this much. they do not threaten to send you to eternal torture for not believing or not worshiping them.
so why not take a chance. because you know if i am right and you are wrong...well then....wait a minute, if i am right and there are 300 Celtic gods. then who would i be to say that your single god does not exist? so it is now your choice to worship the god that you believe will lead you to the most fulfilling life and afterlife. if you want Jesus and heaven that is great with me. (that slim chance of hell is i bit scary though, i mean what if you piss him off and he just sends you there anyway?)
i will take Cerunuuos and Nemitonia and the afterlife(or posible reincarnation) that they offer.

Why don't you take the chance that maybe the Hindu religion is right? Islam? Buddhism? Native American religion? There's almost 3000 different deities on record that are believed in by various religions around the world today. When you understand why you dismiss those other gods, then you will understand why I dismiss yours.

I found Christ by searching for the truth. Others need to find Him the same way. That is why they question. Christians telling them they're wrong and cramming Christ down every one's throat lead people away from the truth.
The best testimony is the happiness and peace a christian exudes.

Pascal's wager.
So you could say the same thing for Zeus, Odin, Janus, Osiris, The Great Spirit, Jupiter, Ra, or any of the thousand others. How do you pick? You make the same bet thousands of times because you see how ridiculous they are. We only go one more.

Why? Because I think for myself. Now I don't follow another person's lead. Christianity is not for me.
How come you don't follow Judaism?
