you should wait as long just the same amount of time as the guy waits for YOU to make the first move before he THINKS your not interested!
another way to say that would be:
just do it before its to late!
ask him out! if you really like him!

it all depends on the person and how shy they are etc. instead of waiting for them to make the first move just flirt with them a little bit and see how they react to judge how interested they are in you.

If you two haven't hit it off in the first date, he's just not into you. Leave him alone and spend your precious time on someone who is passionate for you along with yourself being passionate enough with whomever the future man is.
