I'm on Atkins (semi-maintenance, about 30-40 carbs/day), which, as you may know is about stabilizing blood sugar levels. I also recently made oatmeal raisin cookies (by recently I mean an hour ago, hahaha), and I won't be able to get them out of the house until tomorrow afternoon. Well, I had about 2 bites so far. What I'm wondering is, is it better to eat like 2 cookies all at once, or should I take a bite like once every 3 hours throughout the day so that it doesn't have as much of an impact on blood sugar levels? Please help me out!!!!! I'm craving one so bad and I HAVE to have it! Thank you so much!

tiny bites your body will metabolise the food better so your blood sugar wont get all out of whack

all great diets have it's ups and downs and don't fret over a cookie have you lost weight so far how much 5 pounds?
well even if its a pound
celebrate give yourself a pat on the back
you just had a reward and two oatmeal raisin cookies wont hurt you let alone one
now if you bake a chocolate cake and eat half thats another story
don't feel guilty eat it and enjoy you have earned it just don't enjoy these kinds of treats everyday maybe once a month

It is better to eat it all at once in the morning as through the day your body burns fat. That is why you are supposed to have a big breakfast, medium sized lunch and small supper because your body burns the food from the morning first so if you eat the cookie all at once you burn it faster. (This does not mean gobble em all down and say through the day i'll burn it off)

Eat the cookies all at once but little bites is probably better. I just cannot resist and taking one bite is not my style.

Well, I would eat them all at once. But you have the problem with your sugar. So for you I suggest little bites. Enjoy!

well i am not sure what all it takes to be on the adkins diet but i dont think cookies is one of the menu options....so how well are you doing on your diet...im very interested...i have recently weighed and Im not happy to say the least...I want to loose at least 100 pounds...I have no drive no motivation nothing...but yet im sick of being fat....hmmmm, go figure...

i would eat like half at one point and the onther half at a later time so u get ur fix but not a massive amount of it at once

Get a grip!!!!!!! Don't dive into the plate!!! okay, okay...calm yourself :)

If it were me, I'd take small bites and savor each one .....(Atkins gal here too)...
