There are different dyes for different hair types. They are different, but I suspect giving you the technical explanation would go right over your head.

I don't know of any hair dye that's specifically for ethnic hair. The differences in ethnic hair from caucasion is generally that ethnic hair is more resistant - but this would also depend on what services have already been performed on the hair (i.e.relaxer, perm, etc.).
