Oddly, a lot of girls do like to be treated badly. Girls mostly really like a confident guy and his ultra masculinity turns them on. Also they oftentimes feel like they deserve to be man handled. In short, she is on the fast track for a miserable life. Let her go and do her thing. Find a woman that likes YOU.

Its because you always want what you cant have.. if the guy acts too good or like shes not good enough.. and treats ehr like crap she feels like she isnt good enough and so therefore tries to prove that she is. Its hard to explain but i know exactly becuase I am the same way even though i have learned and try not to date the a**holes anymore.. but the nice guys that want to do anything for you or will even change for you just sont attract me..the a**holes always make you feel like you will be good only if you can get them.

Her self worth is that of being with an alcoholic and she probably feels this is what she deserves. Someone as handicapped as she is.
If everything was hunky dorey in her life she would probably feels she is not worthy.
Working on her self is what she needs to do.
But depending on her age she may need time to mature before actually seeing a pattern in her relationships. Try not to interfere but be there for her,,,she will need you.

I would never ever tolerate even the slightest ounce of rude treatment by ANY guy ever! No relationship is so valuable that I will ever not be treated the best I deserve.

it's probably a "learned helplessness" kind of situation. she just needs to get out of that relationship and realize how much better her life could be. i mean, girls sometimes stay because the man is their financial provider...but this guy hardly sounds like that. and really, how can she be "safe" with him if he's constantly making her cry? you need to get her to realize how hopeless her current relationship is (if it really is...i'm basing all opinions on your given perception).

I would'nt sweat her man and sounds like thats what you're doing.
Let her go and when she need you just make sure you are there for her "If you are truly a friend"
Maybe she just likes to live on the edge.

This is usually true because the person feels that way about themselves and doesn't believe they are "worthy" of a good relationship.
