I personally would go with a pale powdery blue or a cake batter yellow. Light blue looks great with white and with the bead board/chair rail you mentioned using in there, and will give the room that "Cape Cod" feel . I dont think either color will interfere too much with makeup application either. Both colors will emulate daytime sunlight and should work good for you.

I once saw this gorgeous serene bathroom, that has the white shower that you describe and the beadboard.....and, the walls were painted a lavender color and then, the home owner hung dried lavender from a white pegboard shelf and had glass bottles of lotions, bath beads and oil on top. All of the towels were white and the bath rug was a lavender.

Go with a cool color like a blue, as far as holding up to the hair spray and whatever you women use put an "EGGSHELL" finish, it's got a nice sheen to it and won't show all the imperfections in your walls. Go to your local paint store and get some paint samples. Benjamin Moore would be a good store to start Good luck Les the painter

I would continue white. Use your color in your towels, candles, rugs and wall accents.Warm it up with a nice cranberry or mellow it with a soft grey. Do your lightening to compliment your skin tones and daylight.
There's nothing cleaner or more true than white when trying to apply color to your face.
See what happens....I promise it will be fabulous!

You need to think of the places you like. If you like the beach go with seashell, sand, water colors. Like the woods go, with moss green, light wood colors. Then add just a few of your favorite thing to set it off.
