I don't know specifically what Mischa Barton does for her tan, but here is a suggestion. A lot of Hollywood stars use a sunless tanning process called Mystic Tan. They step into a shower-like booth and jets of tan dye and air are sprayed all over. The jets can be controlled for color and the end result is an even tan. There are also sunless tan creams. These are dyes with lotion that are rubbed into the skin. Make-up counters and drugstores sell these items. With the creams, the coverage can be uneven and it takes a while to get an entire body. I think the stars like the Mystic Tans because it is quick, even coverage, and very easy.

Most likely from a cosmetic tanner (tan in a can)... someone who relies on her looks, esp her gorgeous skin, for her career probably wouldn't risk ruining it by tanning.

Well if she has very white skin, doesn't that mean she doesn't have a tan?
