All I want to do is watch my AVI movie on my TV. I heard from a friend that there is a software capable of doing this, and I looked for 5 hours trying to find one, and have had no luck. Please help lol.
FACTS:
- I DO NOT have a "DVD burner", only a "CD burner"
- I do have a DVD drive though.
- I have several blank DVDs.
- All I want is an answer pertaining to my question, not a lecture telling that I should get a DVD burner lol, no offense lol.

Good luck :)

1) DVD Burners will burn DVDs and CD's, but a CD Burner will only burn CD's.

2) Using a standard DVD Player, how to get your AVI on the screen

This method requires Nero, 6.6 or 7, whatever you decide to pirate. Hit Nero express, Video - VCD. (Video CD) Input your files, make sure they are less than 700 megs (A full cd) and hit burn, make a title screen if u want, but there's no need if it's one movie per disk. Burn that ****, play it on a standard CD-R.

Plain and simple, you cannot burn a DVD with a CD burner. You must use a DVD burner. Sorry.

Sorry, but I think you've answered your own question by saying you don't want "a lecture telling that I should get a DVD burner". That's what you'll need to do.
