Firstly system restore does no restore personal files, it only relates to system configuration and programs.
If you know how to use search, which get you using the start button, right click it and click on search.
In the part it says "All or part file name" type *.mp3 or *.m4a or if wmv, *.wmv you put *. then the file extension.
Specify the area they were stored, ie: c drive where it says "look in", you use the drop down and direct it to the hard drive they were on if you have one hard drive then c.
It will then list every file with that extension in your machine no matter where it is on the drive. You can use this to find word docs ie *.doc text doc *.txt video *.mpeg or what ever the extension it will find all that are there, failing that if they cannot be found use recover4all, you can get via kazza or limewire or buy it is not so costly,. I am not sure if they still have free ware version.

If you only deleted them from your library, you can add them again but info like how many times you have played them will be lost, if you choose delete from my computer, then it will delete those files completely and you wont be able to get them back with windows itself, you would need programs which are made for recovering lost data but I never used them and don't have any links or names!
About system restore, it wont help ya!

Hmmm...:
If you mean you hit delete in WMP and did NOT delete them from your hard drive, then yes, quite easily. In windows media player (in maximized mode) go to: File=> Add to Library=>By Searching Computer. That imports all music files on your computer.
If you deleted them from hard drive, Unless you have a music back cd, or another program, then system restore is your only hope.

You can try this piece of software.
Go to http://www.download.com
Search on and download Undelete Plus. It's FREE.
In reality though System Restore is the easiest way to recover them unless that will cause you to lose stuff you acquired since you erased the media files.
Hope this helps.

System Restore won't help, it works on the system files, not your personal files. You need file recovery software.
