When I get out of the shower, I wait till it's not super wet anymore. Then I take some gel and a small section of my hair and scrunch it up to my head and hold it for a second squishing the gel into it. Then I release and repeat till I've done my whole head. Then I wait for it to dry and get more crunchy looking. Oh, and spray hairspray on it. Oh, btw, totally unrelated, but I'm a pole-vaulter, too [assuming you are one].

I scrunch my hair every day and this is how I do it. First, I get out of the shower and I wait just a little bit until my hair isn't soaking wet. Then, you need to turn your head upside down and put a whole bunch of gel in it. Then turn your head right side up. Take a section of your hair and scrunch it up to your head. Do that for the rest of your hair. While your hair is still wet, spray it with a lot of hairspray. Then just wait until your hair dries. Don't touch it or brush it at all. It really isn't that hard and it looks good in the end!!!

Good Luck!!!

okay i've been a hair dresser for 2years now and this is what i do to my hair personally... after you wash it put gel in it and some hair spray and you can either comb it or not your choice this works either way...blow dry it and while you are blow drying scrunch your hair to your scalp in a messy way. that always works, another thing that 100% works is a diffuser. invest in one of these and it scrunches your hair for you. it attaches to the end of a blow dryer (you might have to get the blow dryer it attaches to) and put gel in your hair, then you scrunch your hair with the attachment. when your done your hair is dry and scrunchy. it looks really really cute no matter who it's on. good luck! although these attachments can sometimes be expensive they usually last a very long time and are worth their weight in gold.

Scrunching your hair is basically making it messy. All you have to do is take your hands through your hair, and squish it with your fingers. Think about if you were crumbling paper into a ball. If you really want the look to have staying power, use gel or mousse or a texturizing product.

Alright,im a hairdresser and have wavy hair too, the best way is to rinse your hair in cold water after you wash it,towel dry as much as you can. put some shaping cream or a light gel(not mousse) and run it through your hair from roots to ends. Then section your hair in three. One section to start from ear to ear, next from receding near eye to other side and rest on top as the other.put your dryer on low and start with under part, gently grab hair while adding heat just like you are lifting your curls. making sure you dry the roots and only slightly on the ends. repeat with all sections and at the end tip upside down for a few minutes concentrating on the ends. hope this isnt too confusing, good luck

Lots of answers here.
Pour some gel (or mousse) into the palm of your hand. (Mousse is what I use) Probably about an Oreo sized.
Spread it around on your hand using both hands.
Slide your hand with the mousse/gel up through your hair and "scrunch".
This motion is like "crumpling a paper ball."
Do this throughout your whole head.
good luck.

To curl your hair properly, you need to buy some good curling mousse/foam. Wash your hair first, because it builds up quick. Apply the mousse when your hair is still wet, and scrunch it up. It should dry nice and curly. Adding a nice headband really styles it.

get your hair wet and then get some gel(i use fructis) and just scrunch your hair with the gel and then put some hair spray on it.if it doesnt get hard then u need to put some more hairspray on it because if u dont it will probably get frizzy. i do this all the time.

go out and buy curling gel, hairspray, and little clips. wet your hair. then put the gel in your hand and scrunch your hair with your hand. you can use the clips to keep the hair up why you are scrunching it. then when you are done and u like it put hairspray on to keep it in place.
