It's in Europe, off Italy's "boot". It's an Italian island to it's west. Here's a map of sardinia with all it's information and neighbors:
http://www.worldatlas.com/webimage/countrys/europe/sardinia.htm
Hope that helps.

I lived on Sardinia for two years with the U.S. Navy..If you are looking at the boot on a map..It is about 100 miles off the west coast of Italy. You can get there by overnight ferry from the mainland....They also have two airports...Beautiful island!! Yes, it is considered Italy....The island you see North of Sardinia is Corsica, a french island.
