You can keep a very clean bedroom, wash your bedlinens in very hot water once a week, use a cover on your pillow, vacuum at least once a week, keep your car interiors clean. I bought special hypoallergenic pillows for my very asthmatic daughter at www.allergycontrol.com. Her allergies improved a lot.

First of all the key is trying to avoid all allergens that you can. This can be very tricky. People kid with me and tell me that I should be in a plastic bubble. I have to control my allergies without prescription medications because I am allergic to all of them. I can only take Benadryl and that can cause drowsiness. Lately, I haven't had to take that either.
I suggest vacuuming and dusting. Wearing a face mask when mowing grass or dealing with dust if you have those type of allergies. If you ride a bike or a motorcycle and experience outdoor allergies there are products you can buy to protect your face while riding.
One book I found pretty interesting was Earl Mindell's Allergy Bible. I found it at my local pharmacy. It talks about different types of vitamins and minerals you can take. Good Luck!

You could try several things. It's going to be easier if you have an idea of what you are allergice to.
Lots of pollen gets carried indoors by people and animals on our clothes and fur. So being sure to brush any furry pets and wearing a shirt or light jacket that could be removed once you get inside will help a bit.
You can also do things like sinus rinses, also known as saline rinses. This is a good way to flush your sinuses of mucus and pollen.
If you are allergic to dust mites, you may want to try wearing a mask when you clean or vaccum and getting dust mite encasements for your bedding.
Just a few things! Good luck!
