I want to know what all the cards mean and I want to know how to deal out a bunch of differnet ways. Any suggestions?

P.S. I don't want to hear about how you think they are bad and they will bring me misfourtune. Thanks.

If you are using Tarot cards as an oracle, you may be more inclined to read card meanings and spreads. But if using Tarot Cards as a tool for Psychic Ability you would be less likely to hold to any hard and fast guide lines. I’m a profession psychic and use Tarot Cards in a random way. In 25 years of professional readings I’ve never used any ‘meanings, spreads or reversals’ of tarot cards from any books.

So if you want to develop ‘Psychic Ability’ throw the books and guidelines away and let the images inspire you. But you may need to try the Rider Waite or another imaged deck.

Here’s the how-to of reading tarot cards with your psychic perception in six simple steps. http://www.psychic-junkie.com/reading-tarot-cards.html

You can use this four minute video as a brief meditation on the tarot that, repeatedly viewed, will help you learn how to read tarot cards psychically. http://www.psychic-junkie.com/tarotvision.html

To tap in to it more you can go to my free psychic development pages here: http://www.psychic-junkie.com/develop-psychic-ability.html

But on the other hand, if you want to use the Tarot as an oracle, a form of divination that needs no real ‘psychic ability’, then keep the books and use the meanings and spreads if you prefer.

Here is a free download demo for a great Tarot program. To keep the size of the demo manageable it contains the Rider/Waite deck, the actual program will have 10 complete decks. This Demo version of Tarot is a full working copy for 30 days. So you get 30 days to study meanings and spreads! http://www.free-tarot-download-demo.wotsnext.com

There are a couple of good documentaries about the Tarot on http://www.MyPathTV.net

tarot card readings are readings because it is an ability of the person to see the cards and know what they mean in the situation that is given.

i would suggest that you meditate with each card and spend a lot of time looking at the pictures. they will tell you a story. and as you get better with them you will see that the story will continue to flow from one card to the next. this is your reading.

the books are handy at first, but you will find that when the cards speak to you that the book will seem obsolete. and indeed it is. they do not always mean the same things. and will change in some situations.

having an understanding friend to help you our by having several practice readings done on them will help you to get a feel for them.

you need to infuse them with your energy. and spend a lot of time with them while you are doing this. the new dealing styles look pretty and fancy, but you will find one that works for you when you di this again the others may have some use but will largely seem obsolete.

Well, welcome to the fun of tarot!
There are two schools of thought for beginners.

One is to learn about the cards first, and then begin reading.

The other is to have you use your own intuition and determine what each card means to you. Write them down if you like. Then try doing readings.

The cards are really just a tool. They are there for your own visualization.

If you'd like to learn them first, try this site. It seems to help a lot of beginners in getting started.

I have read the cards for many years. I love them.
My books are all old. My deck is Waite & I have a book that explains them that was fine. I'm certain that there are so many new resources you can look into.
Check the resource below. I like it very much.

Okay, tarot cards are not bad and they will not bring you misfortune. On the other hand, do you really think that pretty pictures printed on scraps of cardboard are able to tell you anything at all - usefull or otherwise?

Think about it. It's not complicated.

I happen to like "Tarot for Beginners" from P. Scott Hollander.
It shows the upright AND reverse meanings.
Good luck!

I'm with pangel on this. While I have several books and they do come in handy some times, some of my card just don't "say" to me what the books say they are supposed to.
I go with my gut.
Choose one card each day and meditate on it. Go with what it says to you.
Peace

Go to a bookstore preferable esoteric. And look through the books. You will find books that speak to you.

This is what Tarot cards mean:

The Tarot card is witchcraft through a medium of cards that is no different than reading a horoscope, getting a reading from a "psychic", etc..

The mediums are possessed by demons who feed them this information. How difficult would it be for a demon who has perfect memory to recall an event in the past.

People who engage demons through Tarot cards don't realize that it is a gateway to demon possession when they do so.

Satan deceives the "intelligent" with logic. His objective is to possess and control those who possesses and controls what is his.
