In my summer vocation, I really wish to work as a volunteer in NYC. So I was wandering what kind of job fits me well and how to get one. Did anyone have done any volunteer job before? Any suggestion?

Contact your local volunteer center. They have the resources to find you a volunteer project that matches your interests. These projects can be one-time, short-term, or long-term. Volunteer Centers provide a connection to a lot of local non-profit agencies in your area.

For New York City, the volunteer center is called New York Cares:

Through my volunteer center, I tutor children at the library, lead teen docents at the museum, work at the food bank and children's shelter, clean our parks and beaches and a lot of other stuff.

Good luck!
