Okay you rude people, this isn't about me, so lighten up! Sometimes people are just curious. If you don't have any actual answes, don't bother to be insulting, just say no and collect your points.

Yea I did that before. I dumped him for another guy I liked. So when I got with the new guy I realized I still had feelings for my ex, more than I realized. So what I did next was try to get my ex back. he wouldn't have me. So what I did next was let it go and kept on with the new guy I dumped my ex for. It wasn't like I didn't have feelings for the new guy, I was very much interested in him. Some time later I ran into my ex again and I didn't feel a thing. That's when I REALIZED SOMETHING ELSE. What I realized was I really DIDNT have feelings for him like I thought I did after I broke up with him. What I was experiencing was an ego bust, because when I dumped him he didn't make a big deal of it, he didn't try to get me back, he just let me go & went on with his life, and THAT'S what got to me - when I went back for him I wasn't feeling anything for him like I THOUGHT I was, I was only trying to repair and feed my EGO. And the whole time I had forgotten all about the reasons I DID dump him for the new guy in the first place.
In the end I was glad he didn't take me back. Because the NEW GUY turned out to be a real gem.

Talked with them to let them know what a nincompoop I was and how sorry I am. Sometimes it will work if the party still cares, other times it will not. Talking to the person is the only way that you will be able to determine what to do next. Good luck and God Bless

I have done it twice. i broke up with a guy but buy the time I realized I really liked him it was to late. There was another time I did it and we eventually got back together. Although I cared about him, I realized the reason why I left him and we broke up again. It took time but eventually I was over him.

yes i have done that. i thought that i didn't really love my ex Kyle so i broke up with him and everyone told me that i totally crushed him and i didn't really believe anyone and said that he had brought it upon himself. then i went on and got a BF like 9 months later and i basicly have been a speed dater ever since. or thats what my friends call it, i get a guy to chase me and i chase him then i get him and after like 1 month i end it cause he's not as good as Kyle. and i get a little emotional at times and just miss him like crazy but then they go away. so just keep your chin up and just push it to the back of your mind and even though it won't really ever go away it will be so buried that after a while you don't really remember it after a while.

Not really; the closest I came to this scenario was when I and my girlfriend broke up at practically the same time. She said I'd find someone else first but she was wrong; she did (I believe) and I believe she married and had kids.

You'll get over it. Stay focused on the new guy. If you dumped him , it wasn't meant to be.
