You have to find a way to be approachable. It's a form of flirting I guess, but it's not that in-your-face thing you seem to be wanting to avoid.

Go to some social gatherings, speed dating, whatever. As long as it's safe... there's no problem in dating for fun, or just seeing what's out there.

Just be yourself.....guys(at least me) dont like it when
girls try to be something they are not.....if they try to hard
to get attention on themselves, i find it annoying.........just
be yourself and you will see.....you dont have to flirt, guys will
