Probably the vast majority of them. I can't imagine any religion promoting backbiting as a virtue.

Christianity definately prohibits gossip
1 Timothy 5:13
Besides, they get into the habit of being idle and going about from house to house. And not only do they become idlers, but also gossips and busybodies, saying things they ought not to.
2 Corinthians 12:20
For I am afraid that when I come I may not find you as I want you to be, and you may not find me as you want me to be. I fear that there may be quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, factions, slander, gossip, arrogance and disorder.

I know that the term "backbitting" is in the Quran. Christians believe in "loving thy neighbor as thy love themselves" which would include not talking sh*t about others. I don't know enough about other religions to speak on it, but I don't think it is a condoned behavior.

I certainly know that in my religion it's prohibited as we mention it in prayers (praying not to do it,& asking for forgivness if we do partake in the tempations of it)!
