Out of all the excercises, swimming probably burns alot of calories, but not fat. I've read that when you excercise, your temperature increases a bit. This helps burn fat, and the longer your metabolisim (which causes your temperature to go up) then the more fat you'll burn.
Basically id suggest runnging/biking. Maybe some aerobics if you really want to take classes. Also things like lunges and sit ups can help you tone.
Remember that muscle is heavier than fat, so if you are happy with your figure but think your weight is still high, this could be from the muscles that you gained while loosing weight.
Good luck =D

Cardiovascular exercise. Do at least 30 min of vigorous exercise every other day or so. You don't have to be religious about it, but try to exercise like you mean it and actually make yourself tired. Not exhausted, but spent. A great way to do this is by using an exercise bike. Exercise bikes allow you to sit comfortably and actually enjoy yourself, yet you can get heart-pumping, blazing workouts, and can burn hundreds of calories at once.
Don't worry so much about how much you eat. If you're eating mostly healthy food, then you're fine. And make sure you drink plenty of water. A lot of people I know have gotten badly dehydrated during workouts, and think that they're losing fat, when what they're experiencing is water loss, which of course can be dangerous.
Oh, and one more thing. If you can get your hands on a heart monitor, be sure to do so (and a lot of the aforementioned exercise bikes have heart monitors built into the handles, which is another reason to use them). Exercising at 60-80% of your maximum heart rate WILL help you lose weight. Find your maximum heart rate by subtracting your age from 220. Then use a heart monitor to make sure your workouts are causing your pulse to rise to 60-80% of your MHR. If you work out in that zone, your heart will become healthier and stronger, you'll burn more calories, and your brain will release endorphins and dopamine into your bloodstream that will lead to pleasant feelings following your workout.
And never lose sight of your goals. There's nothing as satisfying as becoming what you want to be.

Cardio workouts are the best, if u get your heart pumping that will take off the weight. Also the fattest fat burning exercise in the world i reckon is Spinning - that is doing classes on a exercise bike that certainly gets the heart pumping and burns heaps and heaps of calories as well as toning up the whole body..... Good luck

I am a female and boxing was most fun and effective excercise for me. Not "kick-boxing", just boxing. These types of gyms are showing up everywhere. I was able to get alot of anger out, lose weight, and I did not grow bored with the intensive workout... Good luck :)

Any kind of aerobic exercise is best for losing weight, as it burns calories and raises the heart rate, although if you are overweight you should be careful not to overdo it.
Running, jogging, walking, an aerobics course, swimming (really good for low impact while you are losing weight!) and maybe cycling.
With walking, running etc, watch your knees, you don't want to have to get reconstructive surgery!

Walking is very doable and an excellent way to get started with some cardio....if you can get yourself an IPOD of any kind, you are in business. Forget the gym membership and gym equipment....invest in the IPOD. Without the music I just get bored.....as a result I've been keeping up with the cardio for over 7 months and the weight does come off......Good luck.

In 21 years of exercising, I have tried ALL varieties of aerobics. I found that jumping jacks REALLY cranks up the metabolism. Better than anything else. And you can do it everywhere. I do 10-30 at a time, at various times of the day.
If you have any more questions, write!!

Bikes (stationary) are boring, and you don't really exercise. Treadmills are terrible for your knees. Nordic track are pretty good, but unless you're fairly tall they won't really fit your stride. For me, a jog down a path is good. If you really want to lose the weight-swim. Probably the best exercise you can get.

Regular exercises like you propably already do work best, but apart from that, keep your food intake and drinks at a normal level. Drink plenty of water, don't get fixated on the weight scale and be happy with your body. Work towards your goal slowly, write your goals down, take your time, and relax.
