Exactly how it sounds!

Just the white (clear) part. Not the yolk.

Crack the egg, and break the shell apart into 2 parts. The yolk will be in one half of the shell. Over a bowl, transfer the yolk from one shell to the next, and back and forth, being careful not to let the yolk slip out. The egg white will slip out and fall into the bowl, and the yolk will remain in one half of the shell. Use the white as directed in your recipe. Discard the egg yolk.

1 egg white. Crack open an egg. Remove the egg yolk (yellow part) and the gooey clear part is the egg white.

it means,
crack the egg and only out in the runny white part, not the yellow yolk. use both halves of the shell to seperate them.

You would have to separate the yolk from the white(albumen) using the 2 shell halves allowing the white drop to another container.

It means that you only put the albumen (clear/ white part) into the recipe. You don't put the yolk (the yellow part) in.
