Seems like I get bored about seven years in despite my best intentions.

yes, most are meant to be momogamous. Being bored is only natural. that alone will not cause you to be momogamous if you have a strong character. You, will understand this and work towards something bigger than i'm board better find a new toy. Life is not that simple. Think about if someone said this to you, oh, i'm bored with you so i'm moving on after say 7-years very low don't you think. Try to work towards making yourself proud of your choices.

I do. Families are built on monogamy. If you don't want to be tied down to one guy, don't get married and don't make a long term commitment.
There are probably reasons you can't get close enough to someone to commit and you might benefit from seeing a counselor to explore them.
