hi all. i am hosting a ritual for young witches/wiccans aged 3 - 12. we will be colouring eggs, and take turns welcoming aspects of spring like flowers, dew, gentle rains, melting snow, mud, birds etc. does anyone know of any ostara poems or chants or songs good for kids that we could use during the ritual? any other suggestions?

apparently Ohya doesn't have a true understanding of his/her religion. i will enlighten him/her: ostara is what we pagans call easter. your celebration of jesus, the son of god return, actually comes from the return of our sun god at this time of year.. your christmas comes from our yule and our god being born, not your christ being born. i could go on, but you probably won't believe me anyway.
just google origins of easter or origins of christmas and you'll see the truth

Hey there.. what a lovely thing you're doing for the kids!

Here's a link to a great Ostara story for kids:

Here are a couple of other ideas as well:

Make egg rattles
You can create egg rattles with plastic eggs by filling them with a few beans, beads, or small coins. You can also create rattles using real eggs. If you use birdseeds, a spirited child can then delight in smashing them against trees and leaving something for the birds to feast on.

Plant new seeds
New life is beginning to burst forth at Ostara. This is a great time to plant new seeds. Give each child a small pot and seeds, or even a clear, plastic cup with some beans. They can plant their hopes and wishes along with the seeds and take them home to watch them grow.

I'm not a Wiccan, but this page has some tips for activities (not rituals, though):

And here's a ritual:
