that is your own opinion. Micheal W. Smith is one of the most spiritual, talented, men in ALL of music, not, just christian. Or look at Amy grant, she sings christian AND has a star on the hollywood walk of fame. Best christian rock performer though has to be....Relient K, who is praised by the worlds standards for "Who I am hates who I've been" and praised by christian for "Be my escape".

There are many "Christian Musicians" that have been favourably compared to secular musicians. Phil Keggey has been compared by Eric Clapton to Peter Frampton. Others have compared Keggey's ability on the guitar to Clapton himself.
Back in the early 90s a group known as The Allies showed they could rock with the best in many different styles of rock.
There's always good old Larry Norman. Though he's stuck in the sixties. Too bad. He's a good writer.
DeGarmo and Key put out some very heavy rock stuff. Good tech and sound.
There are many great musicians that play Christian stuff. If you didn't hear the words you'd never know the difference, but then ..... that is the difference isn't it? You can hear and understand the words ...... and the meaning.

Well, Ignoring your personal opinion I'll answer your first question and be nice. Chris Tomlin is probably the best Christan rock performer. He is amazing and puts on a great performance. I take it from this your not Christian, but I'll pray that you'll realize your mistake.
