I am trying to find one concise web site that will show fares, schedules and transfers for a train ride from STRATFORD CT to WESTBURY NY. This will be a daily trip for me.

Since your commute is on 3 separate systems, you need an independent travel website.
Try http://www.trips123.com or http://www.hopstop.com

You won't find a site in concise detail like that since Metro-North takes care of trains from Grand Central to Upstate NY/Connecticut and LIRR takes care of Penn Station/Jamaica to Long Island.

You could look up both railroads on the MTA website and calculate the fare of Metro-North from Stratford to Grand Central, add $2 if you want to subway it over to Penn Station, and then the LIRR fares from Penn Station to Westbury.

Confusing commute!

If you really must go by train, you can take the Metro North train to Grand Central Terminal.
Take the subway to Penn Station from there--the E train.
Get on the LIRR, Port Jefferson line--which stops at the Westbury station.

It looks like you can also take the Metro North train to Bridgeport. Then, take the ferry across to Port Jefferson. Then, take the LIRR to Westbury in the opposite direction.

Check the schedule for the train into the city and then check the schedule for the LIRR to westbury

Try the Amtrak page, though I think its a pain in the as* to use. Easier to just call them.
