Too long. It's called "Grand Theft Auto" in CA, and can be considered either a felony or a misdemeanor. Depends upon how may priors, etc. Best to avoid the crime.

It depends on what state your in, how many times you been busted before, or if your in a car theft ring, all kinds of factors are in play, and lets not forget attorneys ,do you have a Court appointed or can you afford a really good one. Short answer is, months-to-years. You could try stealing one and give use a report on it when you get out of jail.

3-5 first offense
5-10 second
25-life third
it also depends on the judge you get, and the time of year. Don't steal cars during an election year.

Too generic a question.
Depends on so many factors. Was it stolen under the premise of a carjacking? How good your lawyer is. What mood the judge is in, your previous record, etc. etc. etc.
