If we assume that the fish are captured at a constant rate, then the answer is seven. Unfortunately, the reality is that they may catch any number of fish.
That aside, your riddle raises many other interesting questions. How can one be truly half a man, yet still live and work? Is there some sort of fishing apparatus that allows one to catch partial fish, or is the "fish in a half" a statistical artifact?
But the biggest question that occurs to me when I read your riddle is, how can you operate a computer competently enough to post your question here when you don't seem to understand the difference between the words "in" and "and"?
