Newly permed (like this week) or have you had the perm for a while? Can you use conditioner?

If you've had permed hair a while, then use a spray leave-in conditioner, wait for your hair to dry a bit, get a wide-toothed comb, and comb small chunks of hair STARTING AT THE BOTTOM. Brushing/combing while hair is wet will cause more damage to the hair.

You should be using a shampoo and conditioner for permed hair, to return some of the moisture you lost with the perm, so that your hair won't get so tangled.

I have permed hair. I use shampoo & conditioner that is bought at the salon along with some of their leave in curl control that they suggest. I wash my hair as usual & when my hair is wet I take a pick threw my hair to get the tangle out, then apply the curl control. On the days that I do not wash my hair I just take a spray bottle & dampen my hair & take the pick threw it, that way I can get the tangles out plus my hair does not look frizzy as it would have if my hair would have been dry.

Shampoo. Apply conditioner. Use a width tooth comb to remove tangles starting at the ends while conditioner is in hair. Rinse very gently.

shampoo and condition with products that are meant to moisturize and detangle, personally i like to use kids 2-in-1`s because they detangle extra well and then use an additional conditioner. then when you get out of the shower spray a detangler all over your hair you can try suave kids detangler or back to basics sunflower detangler, then use a wide toothed comb to get the knots out. good luck!

use a spray in detangler and then pick it out until it's not tangled, also putting a lot of conditioner on and doing it while it's wet helps.
