We all know their claim that it is their bodies and it is an unwanted pergnancy! But it is not just an unwanted pregnancy it is our child growing and this child is a part of us! Should'nt we men have the right to our child, come on that child is as much mine as it is hers?

Okay Jackie I am sorry for your horrible experience and you must be an wonderful woman to go through with the pregnancy and have the child! However abortion by rape is rare incomparison to the common choice as abortion as a right of birth control because it is my body and I dont want to be pregnant!

everyones always all "choice choice choice! it's my choice!" or try to pull the "its my body" bs. It is NEVER ok to kill a human being, espically a child so innocent and never hurt anyone. Theres always these uneducated excuses about how it's not a baby it's a "fetus" or that it's not a baby until it is born, yada yada yet when a baby is killed its clearly a baby. It's just excuses to make people feel better about themself. They think that just becuase it is legal it is ok, it is never going to be ok to kill a baby.

Yes it is wrong that the man has no say. My uncles girlfriend got pregnant about 20 years ago, she then had an abortion and he was so messed up after that. I also often question what my cousin would have looked like, if he was a boy or girl, what sort of person he is.

Its just disgusting on so many levels that people think they have the right to take away the life from someone. I cant even put into words how wrong it is, it just makes me completly speechless.

I don't agree with abortion. At all. End of subject, question closed. I can't believe how hard it must be to be a man in that situation. I agree with the other comment that said it's all the woman's choice while she's pregnant, but when it comes to child support the man has no choice, even if he didn't want the baby. HUGE double standard there. There are definitely laws that need to be changed in this area.

I agree. Men should get a choice in the matter. Actually, I think abortion should be outlawed. I'm sorry, but maybe if it weren't so easy and safe to get done maybe people wouldn't do it! You want to kill a baby? Well then you at least have to risk your own life in an alley. It should not be a woman's choice alone to kill a baby, the father should absolutely have rights to it. You are right, they opened their legs and took the chance.

I do understand the guys view of this but there are not that many guys that want to be a parent out there. And yes im a single mom i and pro choice and when i told the father i was pregnant he was the one to bring up abortion not me. guys like that are what bring on the problem you are ranting about. But i don't believe a person/ baby is living until it breathes its first breath of air or at least fills its lungs for the first time.

I am 36 weeks pregnant with our second son. I didnt make this baby alone. I feel that the father has every right to his child. Abortion = Murder...and is just plain wrong. I feel sorry for the dads that got involved with selfish women only thinking of themselves...wish more men were like you.

I think the men should get a say in the decision. I dont agree with abortion. Not when there ia an alturnative Adoption. Women act like being pregnant for 9 months is the most inconvient thing in the world. Why not carry the baby and give it to someone else who will love it. I think theres a double standard. Women say its there bodies and they get to decide, but when It comes to child support the man dosent get to decide does he? No..

Having a child is something that should be decided by both the father to be and the mother BEFORE the pregnancy. If a woman finds herself pregnant and the father isn't around, or if the pregnancy is unplanned, the woman has every right to do as she sees fit. The thing is...it IS their bodies, and ultimately it's also their choice.

Not everyone who gets pregnant willingly opens their legs for the man to put it there, that attitude is probably why you got the response you did. I gave birth to a baby from a rape and TRUST me I never asked him to rape me! And I think it is situational about the abortion issue it was very difficult for me to make the decision to keep him, so I understand it in certain situations and I cannot nor would I ever pretend to know what it islike to walk a mile in anothers shoes until I have!

You can complain all you want, but they're right - if you don't want someone else having a baby you have no control over and don't trust to make the decision you would want, don't have sex with her. If you think abortion is wrong, that's fine, but it's a completely seperate issue.

Realistically, if the relationship were that great and had that much potential, then this situation would not present itself. You bring up a valid point, however, if the couple were in love and committed to each other, a compromise would undoubtably be met.
