Dude, leave this one alone. His wife's cancer isn't a joke and it's certainly not political. I am a conservative, but even I can appreciate the seriousness of this. This is not cool to talk about it like this. If anything, you need to send your prayers to him and his family as they deal with this. Show some class......

Watching the announcement today, I kept thinking that we are way over the top in news coverage. But my personal feeling is that he and she need to step out of the public spotlight and deal with her coming death (sorry, the stat's say she has less then 5 years to live) They need to address the fact that they have two children under 10 who will not have a mother to help them grow up and their father will be busy chasing one or another political office. I've spent a lot of time with cancer patients, all women, and the best deaths are those where the husband and children spend a lot of time together and avoided the public . If he really loves his wife and children, he needs to back out of public life and concentrate on them.
Sorry, I just don't see her making it more than 5 years.

Benefit? NO!

I think it will hurt him. I would not want a president that has a wife with cancer. He needs to find a job that allows him the time to care for and support his wife.

I believe he should drop out of the race.

I am not a Democrat, I am not a republican. I will not be voting in 08.

Heh, I agree with the first answerer of the question-- but I don't think it'll really help him.
Was it he that Ann Coulter labeled a ****** and received flak for it?
But I think he hasn't got the charisma of Obama-- but then, neither does Hilary.

How can you possibly be uncaring enough to even ask such a question? Cancer can't and doesn't benefit anyone- politically or otherwise.

I don't. The Rightwing is already attacking him claiming he is a bad husband for doing what his wife wished and not quitting.

They desperately want him to quit because they know they cannot argue against him on the issues.
