I knwo it needs to be SPF 45 or higher but what brand, I was thinking Neutrogena Sheer Sunblock, because Neutrogena products tend to be good for sensitive skin (I don't have sensitive skin) but they have good products and their sunblock is not scented... PS... THE SUNBLOCK CANNOT BE SCENTED!

no sunscreens/sunblocks are going to protect your ink from breaking down when it comes into contact with UV rays. those products are to protect your skin from damage. the ink will still break down over time. the only way to prevent that is to keep them completely out of the sun as much as possible.

I use Arbonne ABC baby spf 30 its the only sunscreen on the market that contains no synthedics, and non scented. its super thick too, so i know its really putting a protective layer over my arm

p.s. it doesnt matter the spf, it matters what the sun screen is composed of, a 15 spf, in some cases its better then a 45spf, the higher the spf usually the more chemicals....keep in mind

I can't remember the brand I used but it was in stick form similar to chap stick. Just be careful about applying it because it can cause the skin to be somewhat lighter around the borders of the tattoo. I also had someone tell me stick deoderant but I never tried that remedy. I have several tats and don't use sunscreen on them any longer and they still look good.

I like bullfrog and the coppertone sport stick. It's like a big gluestick and it's easy to apply. The stick is also easy to carry around in case you need to reapply.

Clothing or a roof are the only two types of 'sun block' that will keep your tattoo from fading.
