I definately have an idea for you!! Buy some bath salts in BULK....and then place them in nice plastic bags tied with nice ribbon. Create labels on cardstock that includes directions for the bath salts on one side.....and then all the baby shower information on the other!! I guarantee that no one attending that shower will throw those items away!!
There is a seller on Ebay who sells bath salts in bulk. Her Ebay ID is "BareNakedSoap". Go check out her store/auctions. She ships at the cost it actually costs her to ship, too....no additional fees. She ships priority mail, too.....so it will get there quickly!! I am going to put a link to her Ebay store below for you!!
I am adding a "baby shower favor" page to my website soon and I will be using her as my supplier for customized bath salts. I have ordered from her in the past for my diaper cakes....and she makes GREAT STUFF!! She has lots of scents to choose from too....so check out her Master Fragrance List!!
Meanwhile if you are in need of unique baby shower activities....I put a link to that page below, too!! I also make custom diaper cakes so feel free to check those out, too!!
Good luck and have fun planning the celebration!!

The favors that would have been given out at my baby shower (the day after my baby was born!) were things like:
a bottle of water with a label that said Nutritional information- Serving size 1 baby girl (boy in your case) 25% Sleepless nights, 25% bottles, 25% dirty diapers, 25% lifetime of love (That was under Amount/Serving %D/V and %D/V based on mommy, daddy, and baby)
A tea bag with label saying "A cup of tea for baby and me"
A bag of Hot Chocolate that said A baby is brewing, Thank you for sharing my special day
A bag of popcorn that had the same nutritional value thing and it said Ingredients: A little bit of (mom's name) and a little bit of (dad's name)
A package of mints that said "It 'mint' a lot that you could share this special day
there was also a bottle of shower gel and a few condoms that were wrapped to look like a sucker.
Everything had "______'s Baby Shower and the date.
I hope this helps, I really enjoyed getting the basket full of everything, it meant a lot that so much work went into everything!

My sister just had a baby shower. We handed out little gift bags of dollar store merchandise. We also got M&M bags special ordered with the baby's name, and It's a boy printed on them. Then we got little bottles full of candy and printed the baby's name and mom's name on lables, then put the lables on the bottles. We made sugar cookies cut out in letters to spell the baby's name (which everyone loved), but the crowd favorite was the cake with a picture of the ultrasound on it.

If you're the crafty type you might choose to make the favors yourself. You can do something as simple as wrapping pastel colored candies in tulle and trying it closed with a pink or blue ribbon. Or you could purchase fragrant soaps or sachets that you package in a decorative gift bag or box. If you're handy in the kitchen you could make chocolates to give to your guests in baby theme shapes such as rattles, babies or teddy bears.

Don't get cheap gifts!!! Try a potted plant, lotion, body sprays, make-up bag with little gifts inside.
The potted plant ones are the perfect gifts because you can use it as a decoration and then as a gift :)

we used scratch off lottery tickets to give away at mine. (works if you can find a game that matches your theme...even if you can't "odds are you'll have fun") good luck
