he started to date 2 weeks after we broke up but he said that i was the love of his life and he wanted to marry me we were engaged. he trys to call here still. i really want to believe that he still loves me but he has a girlfriend just 2 months after we broke up. is there a reason someone is so selfish and screwed up and what is wrong with me wanting to believe that he ever loved me?

Somewhere in there I read the words broke up. There's isn't time table as to when someone should or can start dating again. Two months can be enough time for some people. Honestly, if they want, they can do it the minute they say it's over. Since you are broken up, I would not even worry about it. Not worrying may not be easy, but try to get over it soon. Asking yourself all these unanswered question ain't helping you at all. Just let him ride!

theres nothing wrong with believing. i truly feel people can't let go of other people just because they want the attention, but not the commitment. so try this when he calls u ignore his calls. don't talk to him AT ALL!! and yeah ure right he is selfish.. and u should be happy u 2 are broken up, if u were to marry him.. maybe it wouldn't have been a happy marriage.
good luck!

Of course you want to believe that he loved you and that the time you spent together wasn't a complete waste. But as for him having a new girlfriend? So what! Let him waste someone else's time.

You have no self esteem that is what is wrong with you. Grow a spine.
