I was wondering what kind of clothing I should pack for my trip next month to wear in New York City? What is the average temperature like towards the end of April? Plus, I know i'll be doing the touristy things, BUT I want to at least try to blend in with New Yorkers. Any advice would be great. Thanks!!

Spring clothes. Rain coat. Jacket (not winter)Clothes that you can layer. Take off or put on. Jeans and tops. Skirts and tops. Dresses. Sneakers or good shoes to walk in.

You will see all kinds of clothing on people in the city.
We are having a weird winter so who knows what spring will be like. I would guess from past history anywhere from 60's to 75 during the day and 50's to 60 at night.
I know it's vague, that's why I said to bring clothes you can layer.

Good Luck and have a great trip

it depends on what part of the world you came from. if you are from any tropical countries you will find spring weather a little bit on the chilly side but sometimes it becomes a little warmer in the mid-lower 70s but it also goes down to some what hi-er 40s so from that temperature info try to bring somewhat a some sweater and jacket that you can take off while doing the tourist things and try to bring along some nice good walking sneakers, the best way to see new york city especially mid-town is by walking and if your up to it try to go down southward to downtown where the former wtc is, and the financial district are located. good luck and enjoy!

A trench is a solid theory. in case you may get one with a detachable lining, that is solid to flow from spring rain to fall while not having to invest in dissimilar coats. Get an umbrella. Southern CA does not get that plenty, suitable? properly, it could POUR right here on the East Coast. easily, purchase 2 so which you have a spare for while the wind turns one in each of them interior out. hurricane winds do make it to huge apple and prefer to have relaxing with umbrellas. possibly a pair of cardigans or some style of sweater or jacket type issues you could layer. Layers are your chum interior the winter and for while spring won't be able to make up its recommendations, and the temperature is going from chilly interior the morning to incredibly heat interior the afternoon - or a minimum of not as chilly! different than clothing which you will prefer for the quite a few climate, purely be your self in what you place on.

April will be around 40F. A light jacket and a scarf are needed. Nothing too heavy.

Definitely no shorts or short sleeves.
