okay..so a boy likes me. i think. he said he liked me, and i like him back. but when he said "i'm not into the whole boyfriend/girlfriend thing, i wasnt quite sure what to think. we're pretty good friends, and we've talked about sex before(but alas, i haven't slept with him), and the possibility of us going out in the future. he said he didnt really have an opinion..

so what am i supposed to think? should i try and get closer to him? i really need help on this.

thank you to everyone who answers this!

There's actually several ways of handling it I find... Passive or Proactive.

Passive(which might not be exactly a bad choice) way is simply to just keep things as they are right now and just be natural in the progress of your frienship with him. And ... just observe with time on how things are turning out along the way. Might take a little while for this.

Proactive way is simply to just have an open and honest talk with him by telling him about your liking for him. Your "confusion" on the mixed signals he's giving you and see what he had to say about it. Definitely more risking here... however, this does have it's merits of you getting an answer straightaway instead of having to dwell on the thoughts of "what ifs" and distracting you from other areas of your life.

Good luck.

I think the boy is not totally committed in a bf/gf relationship at this moment. I believed he is giving you and himself other chances to find somebody that may suit both of you instead of committing to a relationship now.
I suggest that you should maintain the friendship both of you having now and see what is his next move
