Beauty save the world? Perhaps. This is not a concern for a simple man such as myself. Beauty makes the world more livable? Most definitely.
I find Russian authors like Russian winters; bleak, cold, overly long, and best endured in well stocked dacha. The more vodka and congenial company, the better.

No, I think if anything, it will be the downfall of the world. Beauty is first of all is very subjective, and when we focus on beauty, it's something that always fades over time.
So, I think it's more important to focus on integrity and giving to other people. To focus on personal beauty is to focus only on oneself and personal goals. That focus only helps one person (plus the person who made money from the sale of the things that make that person beautiful). So, the more important thing here is to focus on what will help others and what will make our world a better place to live.

No, sad to say but the world was more beautiful before man started mucking it up. So I think it safe to say beauty is fine to look at and admire but salvation will come from only the ugly scene of the Cross and the Savior who bled and died for us.

Yes, that is why I feel most Americans already worship Venus, goddess of beauty and love, and don't realize it. Look at all the folks who focus on their looks, weight, fashion, Hollywood celebrities, notice the toys girls play with: Barbies, Bratz, little plastic Paris Hiltons. I wish my fellow Americans would just come out and be openly polytheistic and stop mouthing the dogmatic doctrines of middle eastern death cults intent upon global conquest. Worship Venus IF YOU WANT TO, IT'S OK!!!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. So if we can't agree on what is beautiful, how can it save the world.
Dostoevsky--Crime and Punishment. I prefer Tolstoi.

Helen of Troy was beautiful, and look at all the misery men's competition for her favours caused.
