we have been together many years now and we are very happy together, and I know he has hopes of proposing to me, but I would love to propose to him in such a way that he thinks about it every day! So please help in giving me some ideas, no matter how unique.

find out what he thinks of proposing. romantic? is he ecstatic over it? do you get the impression that he just thinks it's a step in the road or an accomplishment in itself? if you feel his dreams/hopes are bigger than yours, i would say let him do the task. you could really hurt his ego if you take that away from him. on the other hand, if you get the feeling that it's not as important to him...i would say go for it. ideas? what does he like? adventurous? indoorsy?

Anywhere you propose to him is going to be memorable. People always think they have to do something grand for it to be effective, but the most romantic proposals are the ones where it's just the two of you, no big plans involved. If he is hoping to propose to you, you may want to just let that happen. Buy him his wedding ring and have it ready for when he proposes. Accept your engagement ring and offer him his wedding ring at the same time. That way he'll know you were thinking the same thing. I don't know that I'd advise taking the moment completely away from him. It may hurt his feelings. Good luck!

if you want him to think about it everyday - do it somewhere he goes every day. maybe put notes leading him to a special place (somewhere that you both go together often?) where you will be waiting with a nice bottle of sparkling cider/champaign and a ring.
put a note on the mirror for when he's brushing his teeth (write it in lipstick maybe? or soap bubbles? or just paper and pen put up with tape)
have a card waiting on his windshield (maybe with a gift card to starbucks for his morning coffee)
send an e-mail to his work e-mail so he will get a nice gift as he arrives.
send him a text later in the day while at work.
then have someone deliver a rose and note saying where to meet you after work. (you could have him go home then get ready and leave to meet you.
then he arrives to your sweet smile that he loves and you can tell him of your undieing love and ask him t be your husband.
the notes can just be something special saying 'i love you and have a nice day' or cute love poems.
they could be parts of a poem that all go together to make a longer one that expreses your love.

Congrats!

I think it is fine for you to propose to him if you like. But from a man's point of view, I personally would prefer to have someone surprise me that way in a place that is quiet and romantic, not public and possibly embarrassing. But that might not be as memorable as you are looking for.

my fiance hid it in the mistletoe :) and as i found it, he got on one knee, i looked to the right, and my parents were in the other room video taping, and taking pictures, then i look to my left and all of his family, my best friend, and her boyfriend came down the stairs, and then behind me was all the rest of my family standing there watching me as i cried.
I know its not Christmas season, but I always thought hiding was a good idea. it worked for my fiance .. :)
