Find something that always makes you think of your dad, even something simple, like a book or something. You may not want a tattoo of the object that reminds you of him, so go deeper with it. Find something that closely relates to it. Say a book reminds you of him, get something symbolic of the book. You will know when you find the perfect thing to get. I changed my mind less than a week before I got my tattoo and I love it. You'll know. Good luck!

find something symbolic, in my case, im going to be doing an in memory of piece, but i didnt want the same thing as everyone else does (the whole "in memory of" crap) im getting a tattoo dedicated to my gpa, he loved planes and when i was lil he used to take me to plane shows and stuff all the time, even though i sometimes hated going bc it was so boring, i realize now how much it meant to him that he could share his hobby with his grandaughters, so i am getting one of those old timey lookin planes with his initials on the side of it......just get something that you both have a special bond with, or something you guys always did together.

Birds are great....sparrows are beautiful on a man or woman. I personally have two of the more classic style ones, and get lots of compliments. Names are a good idea as well, but it's more fun to be symbolic.

I love the idea of father daughter tattoos. I was going to get one with my dad, but he died and we didn't get to do it. Our idea was to get tats that symbolized each other. His nickname was wolf so i was going to get a wolf. My nickname was monkey so he was going to get a little monkey. Hope this helps.

THINK OF A MEMORY YOU TWO have that youll always remember. portraits are always cool, of course if they are done by a good artist. My advice would be to get something unique that means something only to you and your dad thats when it means more...you know?
everyone has a banner with names through it, everyone has sparrows, everyone has parying hands......

I'm really sorry to have to tell you that a tattoo wont keep y'all connected for life.I'm 45 and i think tattoos on a woman is tacky.I'm sure that you are a beautiful person already and I'm shocked that your father is going alone with this dumb decision.whats going to happen when you turn 50 or 60 and one of your children or grandchildren wont's to know what that ugly thing is on your body that now doesn't look like it did when you were 21.the way we think and act change as much as we do.PLEASE give this some more thought and talk with your father again before you do this.you and your father will always be connected without having to damage your body.may god bless you and your.scooter pie
