the essence to being an athiest?

QUESTION EVERYTHING! Never believe something that someone tells you without telling you their reasoning and/or supporting arguments.

they don't have a place of worship, because they do not worship anything. Athiests do not believe in God.

There is no essence to being an atheist. Atheism is the lack of religion. Not believing in any of it.

There's no place of worship, because there's nothing to worship.

We just live life normally.

No. Many atheists don't hold spiritual beliefs at all, so they don't worship anything, just go about their daily lives. Some of us do also have spiritual philosophies, however - I do, I'm also a pagan and a Taoist and proceed accordingly. Some pagans are atheists and so are some Buddhists, so it depends on what type of atheist you are.

There are no places of worship. You can worship something if you like to, I just don't see the point in it.

The only common denominator is an absence of belief in god or gods.

There is nothing to worship, and but other than that we just live our lives as we see fit, just like everyone else does.

... Atheist means "without god". It does NOT mean "no belief in god", it litterally means "without god" the way anaerobic means "without air".

Why would an Atheist worship anything or have a place to worship? Atheists don't believe in that silly crap.

Probably moral relativism (i.e. you decide for yourself what's good and evil or right and wrong). I also imagine it's irrelevant to have a house of worship when you have nothing to worship.

"Atheism" means a person lacks a belief in god. It is not a religion, there is nothing to worship, and there is no unified group of thought or belief amongst atheists.

Atheism is simply the doctrine that there is no God or supereme being(s). It's not a religion. They don't worship anything.
