No no no, silly squirrel... they're born again without a FUNNY BONE.
Funny bone, yeah.
Oh, and tell Nicole - YEAH, I find that whole "humans evolved from monkeys" nonsense REALLY funny!
In the meantime, here's a bit of humor from George Carlin!
"I want you to know, when it comes to believing in god- I really tried. I really really tried. I tried to believe that there is a god who created each one of us in his own image and likeness, loves us very much and keeps a close eye on things. I really tried to believe that, but I gotta tell you, the longer you live, the more you look around, the more you realize...something is F****D-UP. Something is WRONG here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption and the Ice Capades. Something is definitely wrong. This is NOT good work. If this is the best god can do, I am NOT impressed. Results like these do not belong on the resume of a supreme being. This is the kind of s**t you'd expect from an office temp with a bad attitude. And just between you and me, in any decently run universe, this guy would have been out on his all-powerful-a** a long time ago."

Of course not. I believe Christ gave humor to man as he created them! For example...read Ecclesiastes 3:1-8(specifiacally verse 4)..a time to laugh. Do you laugh when you are sad/solemn???? no...so there is obviously a time to joke around and have fun! (you should really meet my friend!) Sometimes the only way to lift someone up....is to give em some good old humor! And... all over the bible is mentioned about people rejoicing or we are to rejoice,etc...how can you rejoice is there is no happiness/humor in you? Humor brings along the feeling of happiness!:)

We all have certain subjects that just aren't funny to us.
A woman might find dumb blonde jokes unfunny if she has had to fight for people to acknowledge her intellegence.
I notice when Jay Leno tells a Clinton joke, he doesn't get near as many laughs from his liberal crowd as when he tells Bush jokes.
And while some Bush jokes can get a bit too vicious, many are hilarious, but the far- right won't laugh.
And Christians are at least a bit sensitive about religious jokes. (And obviously some much more than "a bit.")

I have a sense of humor, but I don't like it when people tell me that my faith is a joke. I like that you have a sense of humor, but I don't like that you use it to hurt people. I read your question about the talking donkey, and God can use whoever He wants, whenever He wants, because He is all powerful. It is a bad idea to make fun of an invisible God, because you never know when He's going to become visible and lay his wrath on you for your jokes. I think God loves you, but you obviously don't love Him, and I feel sorry for you, I hope you'll come around and realize that you don't have faith in something you see, you have faith in something you can't see or predict. God isn't stuck in a book, He isn't a genie in a bottle, he is real, and you can choose to believe or not. However, before you make another wise crack about Christianity, think about who you are hurting, you aren't hurting Christians, you are hurting yourself and God. God bless.

If this site is any indication the sense of humor must stay in the birth canal!

Of course...baptism doesn't only wash away sins....
To the first poster: I laugh at most of the ridiculous stuff (i.e. monkey evolution) that comes out of peoples' mouths. --so far Matt has made me laugh the hardest today!
May be a dry one, but at least I have a sense of humor.

Unfortunately, it seems some people are. But I'm not! I love comedians! Surely God has a sense of humor; he made you!
"God is a comedian playing to an audience afraid to laugh."

I doubt it'd make a difference one way or another. It's not the sort of thing that's done in order to become a crowd pleaser. Go to Pontius Pilate for that.

I hope not.
Some of the things Jesus said are hilarious.
He gave a parable about the man with a splinter in his eye:
Matthew 7:4-5
4 "Or how can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' and behold, the log is in your own eye?
5 "You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye.
I can just see someone walking around with a log in their eye telling someone, "Here let me get that speck of dust out of your eye!"
Now that's funny!
