Neither, I am always proud of my son. He has never been a disappointment to me. It would not matter to me if he were gay or an Atheist.

Neither would disappoint me. But I would be disappointed beyond words if either one of my sons became a lawyer or a politician!

as long as the self esteem doesn't go down and cause them to hurt themselves from stupidity then it should be all good. If they are getting picked on for it then i would send them to a martial art and a gym... Even if it was my daughter... As long as they are happy with themselves, what really is the problem? Ah if someone is giving you gruff or you haven't come "out of the closet" just remember that if someone has a problem with the way you live the there is no real point to having them as a friend. It is far too easy to find like minded people. That are open to themselves...

How about if he were a gay atheist! That would be a Christians nightmare come true.
As an atheist, I would be disappointed if my son were gay, because I would want a traditional life for my son with a daughter-in-law and grandchildren.
But if it was to be, so be it, I'd have to accept him however he chooses to live his life, even if I disagree with it.......

Why would either disappoint me?
There is nothing 'wrong' with being gay or being an Atheist.

Neither would disappoint me in the least. I know that if he were gay though, he would be subjected to a lot of hate filled ignorant people in the world.

If you were a parent and you were bothered whether your son was gay or an atheist, then obviously you would be a lousy parent. It's called unconditional love.

Neither. But I would be disappointed if he were either just to impress or upset someone. I respect individuality.

Neither. I would be more disappointed in the fact that I had children. ( That is something I don't want. Remember to use condoms. )
