Hello, all:
I'll be hosting a full moon event on March 31st (which technically is the waxing moon), and have officiated so many of them that I find myself temporarily fresh out of ideas.
So I thought I'd see if anyone here on Y!A would be willing to share suggestions for a group activity on that evening. What rites/spells do you think would be appropriate for a full moon ritual?
Thanks in advance for the infusion of fresh blood. :-) I appreciate the help.

Christians, please allow me to clarify:
This question is intended for Wiccans and other Pagans. It is NOT intended to be an opportunity for you to tell me how "wrong" I am for practicing my religion.
All preaching will be ignored.

Yogi -- thank you for your suggestions. There will be up to 13 people in the group, and most of them have been practicing Wicca for less than two years.
Saint-Toad -- what a lovely idea! Unfortunately I live in an apartment and have no garden; that, and up in these parts it will still be too cold to lay out plants outside.

i like to get an idea of what people that will be attending would like to do or experience. i am currently in the role of teaching most of my grove. and as such this is where my mind usually is.
i would suggest some srpingtime gardening tips for growing your own herbs. and some teachings on what herbs are good for different things.
preperation of hand ground insence is a nice thing for people to know.
as for the ritual/spells etc. healing circles are always nice to attend, and to send healing energy to loved ones is always a good way to start the springtime.
i also like to use the springtime as an ending of disputes.
this is the time to speak any disputes that you may have with grove members. to make them public and to forgive them and leave them under the blanket of winter for the old maid to take back to the snowy mountains with her. where the negative emotions will be washed and made clean and returned to positive energy.
the summer is the most positive time of the year, and i like to start each summer without any negative feelings in myself or in others around me. this way we are all free to grow and to expand our friendships and relationships throughout the bright and happy days of the summer months.

We're doing a sowing ritual planting seeds (tomatoes, peppers, etc) in mini planters made of vegetable-dyed eggshells and talking about what we'd like to manifest in the coming year. The plants we chose can all be easily grown in pots and we'll use the harvest for another ritual later on.

well... you can discuss how UNIQUE the moon is
the moon is large enough to have an ocean and an atmosphere... but since it has no magnetic field it jess got blown away with the solar windssss... if the earth did not have a magnetic field the same would happen here.
Lucky for us earthlings that we have a large moon so we dont wobble, gyroscropically speaking, but not tooo close or too far so the tides are just so... and without a magnetic field soes it dont mess with ours
the moon is almost too good to be true.... and its not clear where it came from as the prevaillin theories dont explain much... its almost like it was put there by a giant power
and the giant power must be pretty darn smart cuz the moon is 400 times smaller than the sun but also 400 times closer diameterly speakin... this makes eclipses possible... and the earth is the only planet you can see a total eclipse of the sun... one of the beautiful things to behold in the solar system... and many scientific discoveries were made possible... the discovery of solar helium durin an eclipse and the confirmation of relativity... the great power must be pretty darn wise.. giving us a clear atmosphere and a moon and making 'Mother Earth' not only suitable for life but for the discovery and enjoyment of what the great designer has made and long to know the great designer His self
it is all smashed up on the side facing the earth... that man in the moon is the result of some major serious bashes of meteors... 50% of the side facing earth is smashed and only maybe 5% of the other side The poor man in the moon must be black and blue
the moon is almost too good to be true... but a little too smashed up.. wonderfully designed but broken in some ways...
you can discuss this at your party and ask for theories... my theory... maybe the moon got smashed in the same even that led to the flood of NOah... now that would take a mighty power indeed
but a wonderful moon all smashed up... reminds us of a need for a greater power to restore the broken creation... lucky for us its almost easter
From the old English for A-stir to arise... now there's a great power for ya
and lemme telll you the infusion of Jesus blood raises the dead

this is kinda 'low brow', but warm mud bathes, or just playing in mud could be fun and really get some dirt under your nails. A group gardening ceremony could be cool. You could even have a couple practices so those who don't know gardening could get an idea about it. Planting, and tending, plants that carry a pattern or spell in them could be a good community thing. It's not high ceremony, but these could be fun. These would be good for small, intimate group.

Repent! Turn from your evil ways!
hehehe j/k, just wanted to jump on the bandwagon for a minute... NOT!
We're celebrating Ostara this Saturday at the covenstead of a family-oriented UEW coven. But you're asking about the full moon... why not incorporate the two together? They are close enough to make it work. Gardening sounds nice, but here in PA we still have snow on the ground, not sure where you are...?
Go with healing spells, prosperity ones, fertility (IF someone asks for it specifically!!), etc. Have fun!

After 26 years I too have moments when I feel I am in a bit of a rut. I suggest remembering what it was like for you when it was new and I am sure that will inspire you. Although we may feel at times things are rote or tedious...each gathering is a new experience.

i might propose you write a spell with heartfelt words which you your self are thinking, there are a number of rituals, stones and herbs you should use to ease this occasion. Scry for the flexibility sink, start up there while you're wiccan/pagan you will possibly desire to comprehend what i'm speaking approximately. If not discover somebody interior the section with the adventure to realize this.

Rituals are getting boring? Or, are you just jaded? LOL
Let's see: the full moon falls (pun intended) between Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday; if I were you, I would call in 'sick' and not do a dam thing.
Did you know that the early church specified Easter (after the first full moon, after the spring equinox) specifically so pagans and bad people could not 'mock God' during a High Holy Time. You are playing with fire, dudes and dudettes. (pun intended)
God is NOT a weak, soft, sentimental old fool....He will make the mockers cry to Him for relief from their pain and He will not answer you.
But, you'll probably 'do as you will'...your choices be on your own head.
ta ta for now...

On April 2nd after sundown, which corresponds to Nisan 14th of the Jewish lunar calendar, millions Jehovah's Witnesses in over 230 lands will gather to commemorate the Memorial of Jesus death. We were commanded by Jesus to "keep doing this in remembrance of me." So we celebrate the Memorial annually in obedience to that command.
