The New heavns and New earth do not refer to the literal heavens and earth, but to the socoety of mankind and the rulership over us.
"The earth remains forever" we are told in the Bible so that would conrtradict the literal replacement of the earth.

"And I saw a new heaven and a new earth:
for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away;
and there was no more sea (Rev 21 : 1)"
"But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night;
in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up (2Pe 3 : 10)"
"Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? (2Pe 3 : 12)"
so surely not renovated

He's gonna renovate. Omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent, and somehow he couldn't get it right the first time. And for some reason, he's allowed a friggin former MINION to destroy everything he held so dear. Oh, wait... it doesn't make sense. Guess that's why I'm agnostic.

I don't know. But this guy I knew had this vision, and he saw like..two or three angels holding this mirror, and they were sorta adjusting it into position, and they turned it a certain way for just a second, and he saw the new Jeruselum through the reflection, it was all golden and pretty. That sounds awesome to me.

He's going to call in HGTV for a makeover.
Get a clue - those are all bronze age myths. This is the only planet we humans are getting so you'd better take care of it if you value the species at all.
